Hudson Valley Community College men's basketball (3-3) was on the wrong end of a buzzer beater this afternoon as Schenectady County Community College defeated the Vikings 70-69 in overtime. 

The Vikings were led offensively by Mitchell Dame (Niskayuna/Niskayuna) and Sean Webb (Harlem/Hospitality of Management) as the duo each scored a team-high 13 points. Dame scored six of his 13 points during the overtime period. Justus Simon (Troy/Green Tech) had a strong first half as he scored all nine of his points in the opening half of play. The Vikings entered the half trailing Schenectady 34-26.

Taylor Slattery (Moriah/Moriah) and Antoine Jordan (Watervliet/Watervliet) added eight points each and Brandon Degrasse (Bronx/E.A. Reynolds) scored all seven of his points in the second half and the overtime period.

The men's program hits the road again this Tuesday, Nov. 21 to play Ulster County Community College at 7 p.m.
