Herkimer Defeats Men's Basketball 88-69

Hudson Valley Community College men's basketball (2-2) lost a tough road match Saturday afternoon at Herkimer College 88-69. 

Mitchell Dame (Niskayuna/Niskayuna) and Justus Simon (Troy/Green Tech) led the Vikings in scoring as the pair combined for 24 points. Dave Reo (North Greenbush/Catholic Central) and Taylor Slattery (Moriah/Moriah) added 10 points each and combined to make three 3-point field goals.

Herkimer had five student-athletes surpass double-digits and were led by Solomon Silas as he scored a game-high 18 points. Mattson Darrah added 16 points and Derrick Felder added 14 points for the Generals.

Men's basketball is back home this Wednesday, Nov. 15 as they play Adirondack at 5 p.m. at the McDonough Sports Complex.
