Men's Basketball Sneaks By Jefferson 80-78

Hudson Valley Community College men's basketball (2-1) defeated Jefferson Community College 80-78 Friday evening at McDonough Sports Complex in Troy, N.Y.

The Vikings had four student-athletes reach double-digit scoring and combined for 59 points on the night. Mitchell Dame (Niskayuna/Niskayuna) led the Vikings with 19 points on seven made field goals and five free throws made.

Dave Reo (North Greenbush/Catholic Central) scored 10 of his 17 points in the second half with five field goals and 7-for13 from the foul line. Taylor Slattery (Moriah/Moriah) added 13 points for the Vikings on six buckets made, including a key three-point play in the second half. Antoine Johnson (Watervliet/Watervliet) also contributed with 10 points in tonight win over Jefferson.

The Vikings return to action tomorrow, Nov. 11 when they travel to play Herkimer College at 3 p.m.
