The 2016-17 Region 3 and Conference award recipients were announced on Wednesday afternoon. Hudson Valley Community College men's basketball team (18-11) had three players earn All-Conference and one player earn All-Region honors.
The top performer for the Vikings was Kevin Lenehan (Duanesburg/Delanson), who earned 3rd Team All-Region and 2nd Team All-Conference honors. Lenehan finished first for Hudson Valley with 414 total points, finishing top 10 in Region 3. His best game was against Schenectady where he broke a school record with 44 points.
Elijah Lott (Columbia/East Greenbush) also earned 2nd Team All-Conference honors leading the team with 18.8 points per game. Lott's top game came against North Country, where he scored 30 points on 12-18 shooting from the field. Brandon Palmer (Columbia/East Greenbush) earned 3rd Team All-Conference honors, finishing second on the team with 345 total points. Palmer's best game came against Finger Lakes where he scored 41 points, going 23-24 at the line.
