The Hudson Valley Community College men's basketball team (14-8) defeated Schenectady County Community College (1-18) 81-65 on Saturday evening.
Early in the first half the Vikings went on 10-0 run and never looked back. Hudson Valley ended the half with a 36-25 lead, led by Elijah Lott (Columbia/East Greenbush) with nine points. The Vikings maintained control in the second, despite the Royals' full-court pressure.
Lott led the Vikings with 22 points, and Kevin Lenehan (Duanesburg/Delanson) contributed 13 in the win.
The men host Clinton on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
