The Hudson Valley Community College men's basketball team (12-8) defeated SUNY Broome Community College (9-8) 96-83 in overtime on Sunday afternoon.
A day after losing to Herkimer, the Vikings bounced back to defeat Broome, scoring 20 points in overtime to earn the win. Hudson Valley trailed by three with 3.7 seconds left in regulation, before Elijah Lott (Columbia/East Greenbush) hit a three-pointer at the buzzer to send the game to overtime. Lott helped the Vikings to victory, scoring 10 of his 17 points in the overtime period.
Kevin Lenehan (Duanesburg/Delanson) led the team with 24 points and Brandon Palmer (Columbia/East Greenbush) contributed 18 in the win.
The men travel to SUNY Orange on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
