The Hudson Valley Community College men's basketball team (7-6) defeated Tompkins-Cortland Community College (3-8) 76-65 on Saturday afternoon.
The Panthers led for most of the first half, but with just over six minutes left, the Vikings went on a 23-2 run to take the lead and pull away. Hudson Valley continued their momentum into the second half, as they maintained a double-digit lead for the remainder of the game.
Kevin Lenehan (Duanesburg/Delanson) scored 14 points in the second half to the lead the Vikings with 19. John Palmer (Columbia/East Greenbush) scored 16, and Caleb Canty (Hudson/Hudson) and Brandon Palmer (Columbia/East Greenbush) each added 10 in the win.
The men are off for winter break until January 10 when they host Columbia-Greene at 7 p.m.
