The Hudson Valley Community College men's basketball team (17-8) defeated North Country Community College (17-8) 84-79 on Saturday afternoon.
The Vikings scored 49 points in the first half to take a 10-point lead into the half against North Country. Kabongo Ngalakulondi (Manchester Memorial/Manchester, NH) scored 14 of his team-high 25 points in the second half to hold off a late surge by the Saints. Jordan Nelson (Troy/Troy) recorded 18 points, and Kleon Davis (Columbia/East Greenbush) added 17 in the win.
The men host North Country on Monday at 7 p.m.
