The Hudson Valley Community College men's basketball team (16-8) defeated Clinton Community College (4-17) 108-81 on Wednesday evening.
Clinton would pull within three in the second half, but the Vikings went on a 14-2 run to pull away, led behind John Palmer's (Columbia/East Greenbush) three 3-point field goals during that stretch. Palmer continued to catch fire in the second, scoring 30 of his 32 points and converting on seven second half 3-pointers. Diamond Corker (Scotia-Glenville/Scotia) recorded 18 points, and Kabongo Ngalakulondi (Manchester Memorial/Manchester, NH) and Brandon Palmer (Columbia/East Greenbush) each added 14 in the win.
The men travel to North Country on Saturday for a game at 3 p.m.
