The Hudson Valley Community College men's basketball team (9-4) defeated Rockland Community College (9-6) 82-81 on Tuesday afternoon.
Brandon Palmer (Columbia/East Greenbush) converted on his second free-throw attempt with 3.7 seconds left in the game to give the Vikings a one-point victory over Rockland. Kevin Lenehan (Duanesburg/Delanson) led the team with a career-high 26 points, and Palmer added 14 in the win.
The men travel to Clinton on Thursday for a game at 4 p.m.
