The Hudson Valley Community College men's basketball team (13-9) defeated Tompkins-Cortland Community College (7-13), 69-64, on Sunday afternoon.
For the second straight game, the Vikings trailed by four at the half, but were able to capture a five-point win against the Panthers. Nhoel Deverson (McClancy/Queens) led the Vikings with 18 points, and Elijah Newsome (Cohoes/Cohoes) and Garrett Pitcher (Berne-Knox-Westerlo/East Berne) each chipped in 11 points in the win.
The men host Clinton on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
