The Hudson Valley Community College men's basketball team (11-9) defeated SUNY Adirondack (8-9), 80-69, on Wednesday evening.
The Vikings held a two-point lead at the half, and jumped out to a comfortable lead in the second half to hold off the Timberwolves' late run. Nhoel Deverson (McClancy/Queens) led the Vikings with 22 points and Elijah Newsome (Cohoes/Cohoes) added 15 in the win.
The men host Schenectady on Saturday at 3 p.m.
