The Hudson Valley Community College men's basketball team (8-3) lost to Corning Community College (6-5), 78-58, on Sunday afternoon.
The Vikings went up early in the game, but struggled against the 2-3 zone Corning implemented in the middle of the first half. Hudson Valley fell behind by 16 at the half and turnovers proved to be costly. Elijah Newsome (Cohoes/Cohoes) led the Vikings with 24 points in the loss.
The men host TC3 on Thursday at 7 p.m.
