The Hudson Valley Community College men's basketball team (3-0) defeated Cayuga Community College (0-2), 83-73, on Saturday afternoon.
The Vikings jumped out to an early lead and never gave Cayuga a chance to get back in the game. Imre Megyeri (Troy/Troy) led the Vikings with 25 points, converting on six three-point field goals. Elijah Newsome (Cohoes/Cohoes) recorded 17 points and Brendan Archer (Schoharie/Sloansville) added nine in the win.
The men turn around and host Onondaga tomorrow afternoon at 2 p.m.
