Shenendehowa product Jose Reyes (Shenendehowa/Clifton Park) earned Region III Player of the Week honors on Monday evening. Reyes averaged 21.5 points, 10.5 assists, and three steals this past week leading the Vikings to a 2-0 record. He shot a combined 13-23(56.5%) from the field, 2-5 (40%) from behind the three-point line, and 15-18 (83.3%) from the free throw line.
Reyes has helped put the Vikings in contention for a playoff run in the Regional Tournament. He ranks sixth in the Region in scoring with 15.4 points per game, and first in the Region in assists averaging 7.1 per game. With only three regular season games remaining, the Vikings look to finish strong to qualify for post-season play.
