The Hudson Valley Community College men's basketball team (6-9) eclipsed the century mark for the first time this season, beating Tompkins Cortland Community College(9-7) 102-91 at home on Monday, Jan. 17. The Vikings trailed by four points at halftime, but a 59-point second half helped seal the victory. Jesse Smith (Bishop Maginn/Albany) had two of his 18 points after a key dunk with less than three minutes left in the game to give the Vikings a 12 point lead. Kalik Parker (Ragsdale /Jamestown, NC) and Armand Thomas (Herbert H. Lehman/ Bronx) both recorded double-doubles. Parker finished with 18 points and 11 rebounds and Thomas with 12 points and 12 rebounds. Anthony Robustiano (Mohonasen/Rotterdam) also chipped in 17 points for the Vikings.
The Vikings' next game is Wednesday, Jan. 19 as they host Nashua Community College at 6 p.m.
