The Hudson Valley Community College men's basketball team (29-2) advanced to the semi-finals of the Region III tournament with an 83-55 victory over Onondaga. The game was close throughout the first half, but the Vikings went on a 40-11 run in the last 15 minutes of the game to pull away.
Dalton Austin-Michaud (Ichabod Crane HS/Valatie) led the Vikings with a game-high 19 points, eight rebounds and three assists, while Ian Austin-Michaud (Ichabod Crane HS/Ichabod Crane) finished with 11 points, 11 rebounds and five assists.
Matt Harte (Lansingburgh HS/Troy) added seven points and seven rebounds in the victory. Hudson Valley will now face Delhi at 1 p.m. today for a chance to advance to the championship game.
