The Hudson Valley Community College men's basketball team (8-0) defeated RPI junior varsity on Thursday evening, 92- 64, to maintain their unblemished record.
Ranked second in the nation, they jumped out to a 42- 29 halftime lead and never looked back. The Vikings had five players score in double figures, led by Pat Barnes (Mohonasen HS/Rotterdam) with 16 points, five steals and four rebounds and Ramel Alexander's (Albany HS/Albany) with 14 points and eight rebounds. Cameron Couball (Mohonasen HS/Rotterdam) added 13 points, Pat Lanoue (Hoosic Valley HS/Troy) 11 and Ian Austin - Michaud (Ichabod Crane HS/Valatie) 10 to round out the double figure scoring.
The team next hosts Onondaga Community Coolege this Saturday at RPI, with tip-off scheduled for 4 p.m.
