The Hudson Valley Community College men's basketball team (4-0) defeated Corning Community College, 67-54, on Sunday, Nov. 9, 2008. The Vikings led only 28-25 at the half before exploding for 39 second half points. Four players scored in double figures, led by Ramel Alexanders (Albany/Albany) with 15 points, Pat Barnes (Mohonasen/Rotterdam) chipped in with 12 points, Pat Lanoue (Hoosick Valley/Troy) with 11 points and Ian Austin-Michaud (Valatie/Ichabod Crane) with 10 points. The team is back in action on Tuesday, Nov. 11, when they play the second game of a double-header with the women's team at 8 p.m.
