Justin Gallo (Brunswick/Lansingburgh HS) and Datwan Hemingway (Albany/CBA) were named to the All-New York State Junior College first team by the Basketball Coach Association of New York and Emanuel Mayben (Troy/Troy HS) was named second team. Coach Andre Cook was named BCANY Coach of the Year.
The Basketball Coaches Association of New York, Inc., exists to promote the sport of basketball statewide at all levels. Further it seeks to improve the quality of coaching, foster friendship and statewide interaction among basketball coaches.
Coach Andre Cook was also selected Region 3 coach of the year. The Vikings were Mountain Valley Conference champions for the first time since 2000. Hudson Valley was stopped in the regional semi-finals by SUNY Cobleskill finishing the season 30-1.
