Sophomore forward Datwan Hemingway (Albany/CBA) finished with 34 points and 12 rebounds to lead the top-ranked Hudson Valley Community College (12-0) men's basketball team to a 113-76 win at Cayuga Community College (2-8) on Sunday.
Hudson Valley, the nation's top scoring team, shot 59.1 percent (39-for-66) from the floor, including a 14-for-15 performance from Hemingway.
Sophomore guard Justin Gallo (Brunswick/Lansingburgh High School) added 27 points and nine rebounds and sophomore guard Emanuel Mayben (Troy/Troy High School) had 16 points and nine assists. Sophomore guard Ryne Luce (Cohoes/Cohoes High School) and sophomore forward Derick Faragon (Schenectady/Schenectady High School) chipped in 10 points apiece.
The Vikings return to action when they visit SUNY Delhi on Tuesday, December 4.
