The Hudson Valley Community College (10-0) men's basketball team shot 70.1 percent from the floor in a 114-104 win over Fulton-Montgomery Community College Tuesday in Johnstown.
Hudson Valley hit 40-of-57 shots from the floor, including 11-of-18 from the three-point line in the win.
Sophomore guard Justin Gallo (Brunswick/Lansingburgh High School) paced the Vikings with 29 points and eight rebounds. Sophomore forward Derick Faragon (Schenectady/Schenectady High School) had 28 points and sophomore guard Emanuel Mayben (Troy/Troy High School) set up the offense with a school-record 14 assists to go along with 17 points. Sophomore guard Ryne Luce (Cohoes/Cohoes High School) and sophomore forward Datwan Hemingway (Albany/CBA) added 16 points apiece. Hemingway also had 14 rebounds.
Hudson Valley, which is ranked No. 1 in the latest NJCAA Division III poll, will host third-ranked Cobleskill at 7 p.m. on Friday, November 30.
