The Hudson Valley Community College (5-0) men's basketball team shot 59.1 percent from the floor and hit 14 three-point baskets en route to a 113-97 win over eighth-ranked Herkimer County Community College (3-1) Tuesday in Herkimer.
Hudson Valley shot 50 percent from beyond the arc. Sophomore guard Ryne Luce (Cohoes/Cohoes High School) hit six three-point baskets en route to 24 points.
Sophomore guard Emanuel Mayben (Troy/Troy High School) led Hudson Valley with 29 points and 12 assists to lead Hudson Valley. Sophomore guard Justin Gallo (Brunswick/Lansingburgh High School) added 22 points and five rebounds. Sophomore forward Datwan Hemingway (Albany/CBA) posted his fifth double-double of the season with 16 points and 14 rebounds. Sophomore forward Derick Faragon (Schenectady/Schenectady High School) contributed 13 points.
Hudson Valley returns to action Thursday, November 16 when it visits Columbia-Greene Community College.
