The Hudson Valley Community College (4-0) men's basketball team had little trouble in disposing of Corning Community College (2-3) this afternoon in Troy. Hudson Valley raced out to a 51-26 halftime lead and cruised to an 87-47 victory.
Sophomore forward Datwan Hemingway (Albany/CBA) led six Hudson Valley players in double-figures scoring with 20 points to go along with 10 rebounds.
Hudson Valley also received 13 points from sophomore forward Derick Faragon (Schenectady/Schenectady High School), 12 points from sophomore guard Ryne Luce (Cohoes/Cohoes High School), 11 points apiece from sophomore guards Justin Gallo (Brunswick/Lansingburgh High School) and Emanuel Mayben (Troy/Troy High School), and 10 points and eight rebounds from sophomore guard Just-IN'Love Smith (Sacramento, CA/Columbia High School).
Hudson Valley returns to action on Tuesday, November 13 when it visits Herkimer County Community College.
