The Hudson Valley Community College (3-0) men's basketball team cruised to a 116-57 win over Ulster County Community College (0-1) tonight in Troy.
All 10 players on the Hudson Valley roster found the scoring column, including sophomore forward Datwan Hemingway (Albany/CBA), who led the way with 19 points and 11 rebounds.
Sophomore guard Justin Gallo (Brunswick/Lansingburgh High School) had 18 points and six steals. Sophomore guard Just-IN'Love Smith (Sacramento, CA/Columbia High School) finished with 17 points and three steals. Sophomore guard Ryne Luce (Cohoes/Cohoes High School) hit four three-point buckets en route to 16 points. Hudson Valley also received 14 points and seven rebounds from sophomore forward Derick Faragon (Schenectady/Schenectady High School) and 12 points and six assists from Jason Brown (Fonda/Fonda-Fultonville High School).
The Vikings shot 58.1 percent (50-for-86) from the floor in the game.
Hudson Valley returns home to host Corning Community College at 3 p.m. on Sunday, November 10.
