The National Junior College Athletic Association has recognized Hudson Valley Community College sophomore guard Justin Gallo (Brunswick/Lansingburgh High School) as a NJCAA Division III Third Team Preseason All-American.
Gallo averaged 16.2 points per game as a freshman in leading the Vikings to a 21-10 record. Gallo knocked down 74 three-point baskets in 29 games and shot 78.3 percent from the free throw line.
Hudson Valley, under fourth-year head coach Andre Cook, opens the 2007-08 season on Saturday, November 3 against Broome Community College in the second annual Viking Club Classic.
