The Hudson Valley Community College men's basketball team improved its record to 3-0 for the first time since 2000 with a 77-61 win at Ulster Community College (0-1) on Tuesday.
Sophomore Kevin Goutos (Altamont/Guilderland High School) led four Hudson Valley players in double-figures scoring with 15 points. He also had eight rebounds and blocked seven shots.
Sophomore forward Zach Bye (Scotia/Scotia-Glenville High School) posted his second consecutive double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds. Sophomore guard Maurice Lane (Bakersfield, CA/West High School) and freshman guard Justin Gallo (Brunswick/Lansingburgh High School) added 13 and 12 points, respectively.
Hudson Valley will open Region III action when it hosts defending regional champion Finger Lakes Community College at 4 p.m. on Saturday, November 11.
