After posting its 16th consecutive winning season and first 20-win season since 2001, three members of the Hudson Valley Community College men's basketball team have made their decision where to attend school and play basketball in 2006-07. Allan Dickson (Troy/Troy High School) signed a National Letter of Intent to play basketball at Pfeiffer University. Khylan Hunt (Saratoga Springs/Saratoga Springs High School) and Larry Tape (Syracuse/Cicero-North Syracuse High School) will be playing basketball at SUNY Plattsburgh and Greensboro College, respectively.
Dickson earned a scholarship to Pfeiffer after averaging 15.5 points, 8.5 rebounds and 3.2 steals per game in 2005-06. Pfeiffer, an NCAA Division II university located in Misenheimer, N.C., was 18-11 last year.
Hunt leaves Hudson Valley as its all-time leading rebounder with 589 boards and is ranked fourth with 966 points and second with 155 blocked shots. Plattsburgh was the SUNYAC Tournament champion in 2006 and advanced to the NCAA Division III tournament.
Tape averaged 8.9 points and 7.1 rebounds per game last year. Greensboro, an NCAA Division III institution located in Greensboro, N.C., was 12-13 last year.
Hudson Valley finished the 2005-06 campaign with a 20-11 record and advanced to the Region III tournament for the 16th consecutive season.
