Khylan Hunt (Saratoga Springs/Saratoga Springs High School), who recently completed his sophomore season on the Hudson Valley Community College men's basketball team, has been named the team's Most Valuable Player for the 2005-06 season.
Hunt was a First Team All-Region III selection as a sophomore after averaging 16.2 points and 9.6 rebounds per game
Hunt leaves Hudson Valley as its all-time leading rebounder with 589 boards and is ranked fourth with 966 points and second with 155 blocked shots.
Hudson Valley posted its 16th straight winning season in 2005-06 with a 20-11 record. It was the first 20-win campaign for the Vikings since 2001.
