Khylan Hunt (Saratoga Springs/Saratoga Springs High School) and Allan Dickson (Troy/Troy High School), who each recently completed their sophomore seasons on the Hudson Valley Community College men's basketball team, have been recognized by the Mountain Valley Conference and Region III for their performance during the 2005-06 season.
Hunt was a First Team All-Region and First Team All-Conference selection after leading Hudson Valley with 16.2 points and 9.6 rebounds per game. He also blocked 67 shots. Cemented in the Hudson Valley record book, Hunt leaves the college as its all-time leading rebounder with 589 boards and is ranked fourth with 966 points and second with 155 blocked shots.
Dickson was a Second Team All-Region and Third Team All-Conference selection. He finished the year averaging 15.5 points, 8.5 rebounds and 3.1 steals per contest. He ranks 10th all-time at the college with 800 points and third in career rebounds with 451 boards.
Hudson Valley posted its 16th straight winning season in 2005-06 with a 20-11 record. It was the first 20-win campaign for the Vikings since 2001.
