Sophomore guard Dane Samuels (New City/Clarkstown North High School) finished with 15 points to lead the Hudson Valley Community College (15-9) men's basketball team to an 84-69 win over Clinton Community College (4-17) earlier tonight in Troy.
Samuels paced five Hudson Valley players who finished in double-figures scoring. Sophomore Mike Collopy (Averill Park/Averill Park High School) had 14 points and five assists. Freshman Mike Canape (Queensbury/Queensbury High School) and sophomores Allan Dickson (Troy/Troy High School) and Khylan Hunt (Saratoga Springs/Saratoga Springs High School) finished with 12 points apiece. Dickson also had 10 rebounds.
Phillip Barnes finished with 24 points to pace Clinton.
