The Hudson Valley Community College (13-8) men's basketball team had its five-game winning streak come to an end in a 71-66 loss to Herkimer County Community College (12-8) earlier today in Troy.
Hudson Valley held a 63-58 lead with four minutes remaining before Herkimer went on a 13-3 run to close out the contest. Sophomore Lonnell Jones (Brooklyn/Hillcrest High School) had eight of his 18 points during the run to spark the Generals,
Sophomore Keynon Jackson (Harlem/Art & Design High School) finished with a game-high 21 points for Herkimer.
Sophomore Allan Dickson (Troy/Troy High School) had 19 points and 11 rebounds for Hudson Valley. Sophomore Larry Tape (Syracuse/Cicero-North Syracuse High School) contributed 12 points and 11 boards.
