Sophomore forward Khylan Hunt's (Saratoga Springs/Saratoga Springs High School) tip-in with 4.9 seconds remaining lifted the Hudson Valley Community College (10-7) men's basketball team to a 66-64 win over Schenectady County Community College on Tuesday.
Hunt finished the game with 22 points and 11 rebounds and moved into ninth place on the college's all-time scoring list with 752 points. He surpassed Nick Maloy, who scored 751 points from 1997 to 1999.
Hudson Valley also received 17 points and 12 rebounds from sophomore Allan Dickson (Troy/Troy High School), and 10 points apiece from sophomores Mike Collopy (Averill Park/Averill Park High School) and Dane Samuels (New City/Clarkstown North High School).
Hudson Valley will return home to face Mohawk Valley Community College at 1 p.m. on Saturday, January 21.
