Khylan Hunt (Saratoga Springs/Saratoga Springs High School), a freshman forward on the Hudson Valley Community College men's basketball team, has been named the NJCAA Region III Male Athlete of the Week for the period ending Sunday, January 16.
Hunt had 22 points and 12 rebounds in an 87-56 win over Onondaga Community College on Jan. 13, and finished with 20 points and eight boards in a 79-77 loss at Fulton-Montgomery Community College on Jan. 15. He is averaging 14.9 points and nine rebounds per game for the Vikings this year.
Hudson Valley (8-8) will host Mohawk Valley Community College at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 22. Mohawk Valley is ranked No. 6 in the latest NJCAA Division III poll.
