SUNY Cobleskill (8-0), ranked sixth in the latest NJCAA Division III men's basketball poll, went on 21-4 run over the final 6:22 of the first half and coasted to an 83-60 win over Hudson Valley Community College (4-5) in Troy.
Freshman forward Abar Miller (Albany/Albany High School) came off the bench to score 23 points to lead Cobleskill. Sophomore forward Daniel Pierre (Brooklyn/Art and Design High School) had 19 points and 11 rebounds, and freshman forward Michael Lawrence (Newburgh/Newburgh Free Academy) netted 15 points.
Freshman forward Ryan Livingston (Bethlehem/LaSalle Institute) had 15 points to pace Hudson Valley, which committed six turnovers during Cobleskill's first half run that put the Tigers ahead 46-24 at the break. Sophomore guard Maurice Frye (Middletown/Middletown High School) added 13 points and six steals.
Hudson Valley will look to get back in the win column when it hosts SUNY Canton at 2 p.m. on Saturday, December 4.
