Freshman forward Ryan Livingston (Bethlehem/LaSalle Institute) hit a 10-foot jumper with 1.3 seconds remaining to lift the Hudson Valley Community College (3-2) men's basketball team to a 64-62 win over Herkimer County Community College (4-4) earlier tonight in Troy.
Livingston led Hudson Valley with 17 points. Sophomore guard Maurice Fry (Middletown/Middletown High School) had 11 points and eight rebounds. Sophomore guard Aric Kucel (Gloversville/Gloversville High School) added 10 points, five assists and five steals, and sophomore forward Mike Collopy (Averill Park/Averill Park High School) contributed 10 points and 10 boards.
Herkimer, which shot only nine-of-21 from the free throw line in the game, was led by Chris Reaves' (Syracuse) 15 points.
