Former Hudson Valley Community College men's basketball standout Markael Brace will visit one of college basketball's most famous arenas when he and his North Carolina Central University teammates visit Cameron Indoor Stadium to face Duke University in an exhibition game on Thursday, November 11. The game tips off at 7 p.m.
Brace started at guard for the Eagles in their first exhibition game of the season. He had five points, five assists and two steals in North Carolina Central's 59-55 win over Athlete's in Action on November 5.
Brace has been named a team captain for North Carolina Central, which is an NCAA Division II school that competes in the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association.
He averaged 3.1 points, 1.9 assists and 1.3 rebounds for the Eagles in 2003-04.
An All-Region III performer at Hudson Valley in 2002-03, Brace scored 909 points in his two years with the Vikings. He ranks sixth on the college's all-time scoring list.
