The Hudson Valley Community College men's basketball team rallied from an 11-point halftime deficit to defeat Schenectady County Community College, 81-79, on Tuesday night in Schenectady.
The win snapped a four game losing streak for the Vikings, who move to 7-8 on the season and will host SUNY Delhi at 7 p.m. on Thursday, January 22. Schenectady had its record drop to 6-8.
Freshman center Larry Tape (Cicero/Cicero-North Syracuse High School) led four Hudson Valley players in double-figures scoring with 17 points. Sophomore forward Bob Boughton (Glenmont/Bethlehem High School) finished with 16 points. Sophomore guard Tim Kindlon (Delmar/Bethlehem high School) hit three from beyond the arc en route to 15 points, and sophomore forward Bill Heslin (Schaghticoke/Hoosic Valley High School) added 10 points.
Sophomore Dwayne Marshall (Amsterdam) poured in 40 points to lead Schenectady.
