After a 30-day mid-year break, the Hudson Valley Community College (6-6/6-5 Region III) men's basketball team returned to action Saturday night against Onondaga Community College in Syracuse. The host Lazers (8-3/7-3 Region III) came away with an 86-82 win behind 30 points from guard Joe Olsen (Syracuse).
Five players finished in double-figures scoring for Hudson Valley led by sophomore guard Tim Kindlon's (Delmar/Bethlehem High School) 20 points. Freshman guard Brendon Bradt (Cohoes/Cohoes High School) added 15 points, sophomore forward Bob Boughton (Glenmont/Bethlehem High School) added 12 points, and freshman guard Aric Kucel (Gloversville/Gloversville High School) and freshman center Larry Tape (Syracuse/Cicero-North Syracuse High School) chipped in 10 points apiece.
The Vikings will return to action on Thursday, January 15 when they travel to SUNY Delhi for a 7 p.m. contest.
