Marcus Williams hit an 8-foot jumper with three seconds left to send Broome Community College (5-2) to a 76-74 victory over visiting Hudson Valley Community College (3-4) on Saturday.
Four players finished in double-figures scoring for Hudson Valley. Freshman center Larry Tape (Cicero/Cicero-North Syracuse high School) led the Vikings with 15 points. Freshman guard Aric Kucel (Gloversville/Gloversville High School) added 14 points. Freshman guard Maurice Frye (Middletown/Middletown High School) chipped in 13 points while sophomore center Bill Heslin (Schaghticoke/Hoosic Valley High School) finished with 10 points.
Hudson Valley will return to action at 7 p.m. on Monday, December 1 against Clinton Community College in the McDonough Sports Complex.
