Hudson Valley Community College forward Markael Brace (Albany, NY/Albany High School) had a career-high 31 points but it wasn't enough as host Cayuga Community College defeated Hudson Valley 93-84 on Sunday.
Hudson Valley (0-1) held a 19 point advantage at one point in the first half and a 46-33 halftime lead, but couldn't hold on as Cayuga made 11 three-point buckets in the game to take the win.
Also finishing in double figures scoring for Hudson Valley were Jamel Robinson (Brooklyn, NY/Berkshire High School) and DaQuan Young (Albany, NY/Bishop Maginn High School), who finished with 12 and 10 points respectively.
