TROY, NY - Hudson Valley Community College's men's and women's basketball teams, both nationally ranked among Division III junior colleges, will host a joint media day.
WHEN: 3:30 to 4:30 p.m., Wednesday, October 31, 2001.
WHERE: In the McDonough Sports Complex's gymnasium at Hudson Valley, 80 Vandenburgh Avenue, Troy NY.
WHAT: Hudson Valley's male and female basketball players and coaches will be available for interviews and photographs. Refreshments will be available.
WHY: Both teams consist primarily of local players: all 14 players on the men's hoop team hail from Section II high schools; 11 of the 12 female basketball players at Hudson Valley attended a Section II high school. The men's team was 22-7 last season and is currently ranked 15th in the nation. The Lady Vikings finished the 2000-01 campaign with a 24-3 record and are currently ranked fifth in the nation.
