Two nationally ranked men's basketball teams will square off at Hudson Valley Community College Thursday night. Hudson Valley's men, ranked ninth in the country in the recent NJCAA Division III basketball poll, host Mountain Valley Conference rival SUNY Cobleskill, ranked sixth, at 8 p.m. Hudson Valley is 5-1 this season; SUNY Cobleskill is 8-0.
The matchup will feature one of the nation's top defenses against a strong offense. The Vikings, comprised primarily of Section II players, are allowing just 65.5 points per game, ninth best in the country. SUNY Cobleskill is scoring 89.3 points per game, sixth-best.
Hudson Valley Community College, located in Troy, offers more than 50 degree and certificate programs in four academic divisions; Business; Engineering and Industrial Technologies; Health Sciences; and Liberal Arts and Sciences.
