The Hudson Valley Community College football program lost a tough home game 26-13 against East Coast Prep on Saturday afternoon at the Outdoor Athletic Complex on the campus of HVCC.

The game ultimately came down to one play, a defensive fourth-down with three minutes remaining in the game. Trailing 20-13, the Vikings had the Firebirds down to a fourth-and-five on the Vikings 17-yard line and they couldn't come up with the clutch stop, allowing East Coast Prep to score the insurance touchdown and a two-score lead.

Hudson Valley scored twice, both touchdowns coming off passes by Cameron Harbaugh. In the second quarter, Hudson Valley scored with 8:06 on the clock when Harbaugh found Dylan Lessar on a misdirection for a three-yard score.

Later in the quarter, Harbaugh connected with a 15-yard touchdown to Mitchell MacKissock as MacKissock beat his defender for an easy catch in the left side of the end zone. Harbaugh finished the game with 212 passing yards with 21 completions. MacKissock grabbed six catches with a team-high 87 yards as eight different receivers recorded a catch in the game.

Defensively, Shamarr Joppy and Sean King each tallied eight tackles. King added 1.5 sacks for a loss of 13 yards.

Up next for the Vikings is a road trip to take on the New Jersey Warriors on Sunday, October 1, which is scheduled for a 2 p.m. kickoff.
