The Hudson Valley Community College football program (1-2) dropped their second consecutive game as they were defeated 35-3 to Monroe College, a NJCAA division I program, in New Rochelle, NY on Saturday afternoon at the New Rochelle City Park.

The Vikings positioned themselves for a tough fourth quarter as they trailed 21-3 heading into the final frame. Following a 7-3 halftime score, the Vikings held their own and battled throughout the entire game.

Hudson Valley got on the board first following a 11 play, 67-yard drive when kicker Frederick Callo connected for a 39-yard field goal for the 3-0 advantage.

Monroe has a quality program and their skill set proved to be the difference maker in several key positions against the Vikings as they Mustangs finished the game with a 35-0 run.

The Vikings football program is back home this Saturday, October 2 when they welcome the New Jersey Warriors to the Outdoor Athletic Complex on the campus of Hudson Valley Community College. The game is scheduled for a 2 p.m. kickoff and will be live streamed at www.YouTube.com/HVCCVikings.
