It was announced that five Hudson Valley Community College football player's had earned All-Region honors for the 2012 season on Wednesday afternoon. The Vikings had three on the All-Offensive Team, one on the All-Defensive Team, and one on the Special Teams.
Sophomores Nathaniel Robinson (Saratoga Springs/Saratoga), Sharmarte Banks (Potomac/Oxon Hill, MD), and Joshua Gross (Old Mill/Baltimore, MD) made the All-Offensive Team. Robinson led the rushing attack on the year for the Vikings, compiling 472 yards on the ground and three touchdowns. Gross led all receivers with 337 yards and three touchdowns, while Banks recorded 247 yards and two touchdowns. Freshman Landon Moore (Saratoga Springs/Saratoga) was the only defensive representative for the Vikings. Moore led the team with six sacks and 16 and a half tackles for loss. He tallied 46 tackles on the year, forced three fumbles, recovered a fumble, and blocked a field goal attempt. Sophomore Gordie Pine (New Paltz/Gardiner) earned All-Region honors on special teams as a punter. Pine averaged 37.2 yards per punt, with a long of 70, and pinned five punts inside the opponent's 20 yard line.
