Hudson Valley Community College cornerback Mackenzie Elliot (Edgewood/Monrovia, Liberia) signed his letter of intent to the University of Rhode Island on National Signing Day, Wednesday afternoon, receiving a full athletic scholarship to join the Rams football squad.
Elliot was the Viking's top cornerback, recording 22 tackles, one interception, three passes defended and one blocked kick this past season. He was a captain of the team and earned Third-Team All-Conference honors in the Northeast Football Conference.
