The Hudson Valley Community College football team (2-6) defeated the RPI junior varsity team, 44-8, on Sunday, Oct. 31. The Vikings scored on the opening drive of the game and never looked back. The offense produced 484 yards rushing on 42 carries led by Nyquan McGirt (Lansingburgh/Lansingburgh) who had 300 yards on 20 carries. McGirt had touchdown runs of 55, 50, 43, and 6 yards. A solid performance by the defense gave up only one touchdown. James Seay (Potomac/Washington, DC) had a strong defensive performance with two interceptions and three tackles.
The Vikings conclude the season on Friday, Nov. 5 at Navy Academy Preparatory School with kickoff set for 7 p.m.
