Former Hudson Valley Community College football standout, Darnell Stapleton, was signed by the New England Patriots to their pre-season 80-man roster on Monday, Aug. 9.
Stapleton, a 2008 Super Bowl Champion with the Pittsburgh Steelers, is returning from a knee injury suffered in the 2009 pre-season that kept him out of competition for all of the 2009 season.
Stapleton attended Hudson Valley Community College from 2003 to 2005 before transferring to Rutgers University.
