The Hudson Valley Community College Vikings football team defeated Union College's junior varsity team, 33-6, on Sunday, Sept. 14.
After the Vikings won the coin toss, they drove the length of the field on their first possession and never looked back. While looking strong on offense, the entire team had a solid defensive performance. Key performances in the victory came from Thomas Heedles (New Dorp High School/Staten Island), who was 9 for 11 with 120 passing yards, and Kamar Jorden (Penn Wood High School/Darby), who had three receptions for 81 yards. The team improved their record to 1-1. The Vikings face Lackawanna College this Saturday, Sept. 20, in Lackawanna, Pennsylvania.
